Is your fancy heart rate monitor collecting dust? Do you want to know what your heart rate training zones are? Are you curious what your
current “race-pace” is? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” then you need to be at Kentwood High School track at 8:30am on Saturday, February 25th. Coach Alissa will be facilitating a 30 minute time-trial to determine athletes’ heart rate training zones and current “race-paces.” What you need to know: The Cost is $15 Team and $20 Non-Team. Plan to be at the track for 75 minutes. We will warm up well before the test, and we will cool down and discuss results after the test. The morning of the test, eat the way that you would before a race. Be prepared to run as fast as you can for 30 minutes. Bring your heart rate monitor. Please note that if you want to know your current race-pace, you’ll need to either bring a GPS device (such as a Garmin Forerunner) or be prepared to run in the inside lane and keep track of your total laps for the 30 minute time trial. Email alissa@weraisethebar.com if you have any questions.
