Personal Coach

Cheryl Iseberg is a 10-year veteran of triathlon and has competed at all distances.  She’s a USAT Certified coach and has the valuable experience of having been coached  by Simon Lessing for the last few years- one of the sport’s most highly decorated athletes.  Cheryl has coached at Raise the Bar’s summer programs and well as having coached individual athletes.  While appearing rather ‘normal’ as gals go, Cheryl has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for 7 years and is a living example of the power of endurance athletics in fighting the effects of neurological challenges.  This experience gives her a unique perspective on the potential that exists in all athletes – and she enjoys exploring that potential both in herself and the folks around her.

Mary recently won her age group at the Seattle Half Marathon – way to go Mary!

He can also be found at RTB tech classes or summer training programs coaching open water workouts.  Mike is a lifelong swimmer and continues swimming and competing with Master’s swimming.  He is also a Swim Official – and works multiple meets throughout the year.  The combination of his swim experiences gives him a great perspective on stroke mechanics and his good nature makes him easy company.

Patty Swedberg got RTB’s  ball rolling in 2004 and has been attempting to balance it, a family, and an occasional race here and there ever since.  She has raced Sprint to Ironman distance but prefers a sprint anytime.  She has a degree in Occupational Therapy and a Certificate in Sports Medicine and Human Performance but would consider a formal education in Marketing or Project Management to be pretty helpful right about now.  She earned a USAT Coaching Certificate a few years back and has done a fair amount of Individual and Group Coaching. Brad Williams has been involved in multisport for 25 years.  He loves riding a new bike, swimming in the open water, and hanging out with his buddies on Sunday morning bike rides.  With a pretty dandy background in Business & Operations, Brad helped RTB get off the ground in the beginning and continues now as a partner.  Brad also owns Northwest Tri & Bike – a triathlon and cycling shop in Kent where – like at Raise the Bar – he considers people to be the most valuable resource.
Brad was an All-American swimmer through high school & college and brings that background with him as a swim coach at RTB.  You can find him at an RTB coached swim workout or at an Open Water Swim Workout heckling swimmers and helping them get faster.  Contact Brad Here
