RTB’s Story…RTB’s team started as a group of 7 elite women in 2003 and grew to a current roster of about 200. While our results show a fair number of age-group placings and overall race wins, we’re most proud of the fact that we are a team of diverse abilities and experiences. Everyone has a place on this team.
You might have noticed us out in force last year. Our members raced more than 1500 times in 110+ different races – triathlons, duathlons, swim meets and open water swims, bike races, and running races. You might have noticed, too, that our staff and coaches train and race right alongside the team members. That makes for a better community, we think. What we value most, though, is when people notice our positive atmosphere, attitude, hospitality, integrity and pursuit of excellence. At the end of the day, it’s those values and their effect on our community that are most important to us.
The mission of the team mirrors the Mission, Vision, and Values of Raise the Bar. Our priority is the people who trust us with their Triathlon training, time, and talent. We take our commitment to them very seriously and work very hard to offer benefits, opportunities, and programs that will make their triathlon season the best experience possible. Because when triathletes are training with efficiency, information, and support, they bring a better person back to their families, friends, and employers…..and that’s what’s most important.
Mission and Values
The focus of our energies at RTB are the people that we come into contact with. We are led by the following principles:
Common Purpose (Mission Statement)- We create opportunities for fun and personal achievement through multisport.
Safety – The physical protection and dignity of athletes, staff and all other individuals encountering RTB workouts, training programs and events is our #1 priority.
Humility – We place the needs of others before our own.
Community – to make all people (team members, sponsors, athletes, vendors) experience a sense of welcome and belonging
Continuous Improvement – We will constantly assess, improve and refine every aspect of the organization. We do this through objective analysis of the facts, asking questions, listening intently and being open to new and different approaches to getting things done.
