How it Works: Each swim workout is held on the open water around a 300-yard buoy course. The buoys are set 50 yards apart in a rectangle and swimmers are grouped according to ability. The workouts are a combination of interval sets like you'd swim in a pool and open water skills training. Skills include sighting, passing, drafting, turning and starts.
Hundreds of swimmers have participated over the 13 years of this program that's prepared them to race to their potential and reduce the anxiety about swimming in the open water. If that's what you're looking for this season - join us!
Beginning swimmers needing to work on acclimating to the open water environment or sharpen their technique skills can join a group with a coach near the shore and advance to the buoy course anytime they feel ready.
