2024 Tri Cities Training Camp Schedule
Thursday, 5/30
5:00pm - Camp Headquarters officially open! 6200 W Yellowstone, Kennewick.
6:30pm - Pizza social! (Bring some $ for pizza or Venmo will work) Drinks and salad provided!
Friday, 5/31
6:30-7:15 Breakfast
8:00- Pre-Swim chat OWS at Howard Amon Park. (Everyone must have an open water swim buoy, wetsuit, and a bright cap to enter the water). Anticipate that the water will be chilly. Wearing 2 caps will keep you warmer! You could also pour warm water down your wetsuit prior to getting in.
9:00 - Estimated start of the swim
11:00-12:00: Lunch
12:30 - Transition Talk at Badger Mountain Park. 525 Queensgate Dr, Richland. This is on the IM bike course and an easier place to start from.
1:00 - Run 30 minutes (out and back) optional time/distance
Transition to the BIKE
1:45 Ride 1:30 . 45 min out, 45 min back.
Transition to the RUN
Run 30 minutes out and back
4:00 - Shoot to be done with that.
5:00 - Fix a Flat Fun, conversation, frivolity at HQ
6:30 - Dinner & Conversation
Points of discussion for Saturday and Sunday long bike and run: Fueling stratgies (taking in enough liquid and fuel withg you on a bike ride)
Saturday, 6/1
Eat Breakfast and a good one! (That's on you)
9:00am - BIKE 56 mile loop of the Tri Cities course.
Transition to a RUN off the bike of 1 hour, out and back 30 minutes. Distance is your preference
Then free time, eat, camp shenanigans, yoga(!)
6:00pm - Dinner
7:00pm - FAQ/ Q&A about the day(s) + Nutrition w/recommendations for fueling during and after. Open forum - bring your questions and input!
Sunday 6/2
8:00 - Swim (TBD)
10:00 - 13.1 mile run up river from Columbia Point Park and back per course map
Training Concluded! Pack up and meet up for lunch on the way home for whoever can make it
