RTB Tri-cities Training Camp
Richland / Kennewick, WA - 5/30-6/2
We are excited to bring a training camp to the team this summer! There are great friendships and fitness forged at these camps and we hope you'll jump in.
This camp is put together with the 70.3 Coeur d'Alene, Salem, and Tri-cities athletes in mind - but any RTB member can attend. There will be different training distances, times, and intensities suggested to accomodate everyone. The camp is early training for Salem and Tri-cities, and the final showdown before tapering for CDA. While there will be training guidelines provided, we're aware many of you have training plans you are following. You'll be able to work those into the camp.
Official training will begin Friday morning and continues through Sunday afternoon on the Tri-cities Race Courses
Coach Linda McCandless will be leading the training at camp. Linda has coached for many years and has herself competed at 70.3 Worlds and the 2023 IM World Championships in Kona. Other staff will be present to cook your dinners, provide sag on the courses, and applaud your successes along the way.
Camp Headquarters will be in a big, beautiful VRBO in Kennewick just a few miles from Columbia Point Marina Park ( the location of the IM 70.3 Tri-citiesTransition) All camp meetings and dinners will be at Camp HQ . It will sleep 9 campers and the staff and will be an open-door meeting and lounging space for all campers throughout the weekend. A 2nd VRBO will hold another 8 athletes and is about a mile from Camp HQ.
Campers will need to share rooms - there are a variety of bunk, double, queen, and king beds at each house. After sign-up, we'll work with athletes to assign beds and get everybody settled comfortably. Some of you will likely want to sleep on an air mattress instead of doubling up on a bed - and we'll work out those details after signup. At this time, beds will be assigned first-come, first served basis. If you are interested in sharing a room with a particular athlete, please note that in registration.
Fri & Sat Dinners, snacks, some training fuel, and coaching are provided, not to mention a fun weekend with old and new friends. You'll be able to opt out of lodging if you'd rather stay at another spot. But come for the training, meals, meetings, and fun.
Pricing:
$499 - Full weekend of training and stay in Camp Headquarters
$399 - Full weekend of training and stay in HQ #2
$249 - Full weekend of training and you have your own lodging.
Camp registration will be open to RTB athletes only and begins Monday, March 11 at 6PM. There are 17 spots available in the Camp HQ's - so if you're interested in staying there, sign up quick! If there's a demand for more group housing, we will revisit.
